CLMA Construction Site Bulletin No. 1
First 'site progress report' regarding our residential project in Propriano.
We are particularly excited to share with you the concrete start of this project, especially as we are currently enjoying one of the most pleasant seasons in our beautiful region of Propriano and the Valinco. We want to keep you regularly informed about the next steps and the progress of the construction site. This is one of the most exciting parts because each trade applies its expertise and experience, and every action matters. Operating an excavator without wasting time on each bucket, choosing the right stones, mixing with the right soil, and creating the most solid backfills can only be mastered through years of practice under the watchful eye of a skilled site manager. All the trades will work together: VRD and Earthworks, Stonework, Masonry and Tiling, Metalwork, Joinery and Carpentry, Roofing, Electrical, Plumbing and Heating, Plastering and Insulation, Landscaping… These craftsmen have been rooted in the region for often several generations, grew up here for the most part, and nothing is more important to them than the longevity of their work and the satisfaction of the occupants.
Construction progress and next steps
The project is progressing according to our initial schedule. The utility and VRD works are on track, and we are starting to see the buildings take shape. You can thus see the implementation of the essential infrastructures of your future environment taking concrete form. Furthermore, the installation of rainwater drains is underway with the placement of inspection chambers on the piping, ensuring optimal water management on the site (see box below).
Before the end of May 2025, we will install the site office, which will enable the other trades to work, including the major construction company that will begin the foundation work for the west building. This is a key step that will mark the start of the elevation phase.
